The double triode tester
Detects hums and mechanical noises through a sound test
Double triodes are tested in the tube tester of our own development and manufacture.
This equipment checks the valves in real working conditions, detects hums and mechanical noises through a sound test. In fact, unlike commercial testers, which perform a compromise test, this tester tests the tube as if it were operating in audio equipment (tube testers never test tubes at that level).
Therefore, you will receive: double triodes without instability or progressive increase in current due to gases, emitting grid or contamination in the separator micas, mechanical noises, random noises due to ionization of residual gases or difference in gain between both triodes.
In the following video you can see how a tube with defects behaves, in this
case «HUM» in our tester
. The conventional transconductance tester shows normal behavior even with optimal measurements for both triodes.
